New Ginger Man pub in South Norwalk

The Ginger Man chain, one of the first multi-taps in the country, is opening a new location at 99 Washington St. in South Norwalk, Connecticut. It’s located in a former bank. As with the Gingerman pubs in Manhattan and Greenwich there will be more emphasis on food than the original three locations in Texas, but with 52 taps beer will still be a star.

Good news/bad news. I visited the Greenwich location, once, and would not return. Unless this expansion is a good sign of the respect level for beer in CT being elevated of late? I don’t see it…but…I’m hopeful, still.

I just see this as similar to opening a Steakhouse in a Vegetarian dominated area.

    We’ll see…

I went to the grand opening of the Ginger Man in sono and was very impressed! The taps on the wall is impressive in it self but the atmosphere and food were great as well! I would suggest those who have any doubts to give it a try!!

I LOVE the Ginger Man in Sono!! The food is always a MUST as well as the plethera of beers!! Even on the later side of the evening, things are interesting with lots of younger folk flocking through the doors. The only downfall is the tone and music of the late night–the company is lively but the musical entertainment is kind of a downer!! On a positive tip, management staff are always helpful and suggestive!! I would definetly suggest giving the Sono Ginger Man a whirl!!
