Florida microbrewers give it another shot

A man moves from Colorado to Florida.

“It was the biggest culture change from Colorado to Florida,” Marc Wolff, who lives Port St. Lucie and works in West Palm Beach, told the Palm Beach Post. “The food is better here, which is surprising. It’s even easier to find wine selections. But the beer was just a big hole in the culinary area.”

Brewpubs opened as fast in Florida as any where in the country in the mid-90s (thanks in large part to the now defunct Hops chain), but when things slowed they really slowed.

This story indicates things are back on the upswing.
