Beer in wine country
The San Francisco Chronicle offers a guide to finding craft beer in wine country.

Artisan brewers thrive in the Wine Country may not get all the beer facts right - hops aren’t roasted and the six Trappist monasteries don’t make 400 different beers, and Jay Brooks offers a longer list - but it includes the important ones, like where to find the beer.
The story also discusses things going on different in that region than - for instance - the Northeast.
(The photo above is the from theHop Kiln winery, which is located inside a facility where hops were once kilned - you probably figured that out - which means dried and packaged into bales. As opposed to roasted.)
