Fat Tire bound for Chicago
This just in from the New Belgium Brewing e-mail newsletter, NBBBuzz: Three new beers headed for wide distribution in 2006. Alas, they aren’t telling what they might be.
However, it’s official that distribution is headed east of the Mississippi. NBB is headed to Chicago (as well as San Diego).

Wow, this is great news. I grew up in Montana, and I have since relocated to Chicagoland, which precluded me from obtaining NBB beers (Fat Tire, Sunshine, etc.) without a) packing it in my luggage at Christmas or b) having some one from home deliver it to me.

The InnJoy on Division in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago will be having a tasting/release party on February 10 from 3-6pm. Fat Tire will be available there from that point on! Yippee!

Anyone hear what the new beers might be yet? I’ve been searching all over online and I can’t find a thing, its hard to search effectively with general words like new belgium brewing!

I cannot even begin to express my excitement about Fat Tire making its way…finally…across the ol’ Miss to Chicago, a great city to settle down in. So long are the days of coming back from Missouri with a trunk full of 6-packs! (went to school in MO) And…loooove the inaugural bottles. Screw the cold weather, we have Fat Tire.

Okay, where can I obtain Fat Tire in the burbs? I am a HUGE Fat Tire and 1554 fan! I lived in Colorado and I have been to the brewery! I NEED that NBB! Tell me where please!

Jefferson Tap in Chicago has bombers of Fat Tire. Located at Jefferson & Fulton; 325 N. Jefferson. Also, I just called Binny’s on Grand - they have 12 cases of bombers in the warehouse.

My friend has bought Fat Tire at some liquor store on the north side, do jnot know what its called but does n e 1 know other stores that carry it

I e-mailed them and they send me a HUGE list of store and bars that will be carrying fat tire. Right now it is only available in the 22 oz bottles. Even though the list was only of Chicago locations it has been seen in Downers Grove, Naperville, Warrenville, and Oak park just to name a few.
It should be everywhere very very soon. Hell Binny’s finally has it.
