Caught in the act
Publicans at a bar in Northern Ireland are fined for selling short pints.
The Leprechaun bar in Portaferry paid fines of £900. According to an inspector:
“It is a legal requirement for licensees to use Government tested and stamped glasses and to deliver accurate measures to their customers. It is also a requirement that a prominent price list is displayed on the premises so customers see the price they have to pay before ordering their drinks.” [Government press release]
